　　乙醇是重要的车用燃料的化工原料。作为车用燃料，在美国消费乙醇超过4000万吨/年；巴西消费乙醇约1800万吨/年。相比之下，燃料乙醇在中国拥有巨大的潜力空间。2016年中国燃料乙醇产量仅为260万吨。乙醇进口关税上调、乙醇汽油试点推广都将促进国内燃料乙醇发展。《外商投资产业指导目录》2017年版本，燃料乙醇生产制造对外资开放。

　　通过煤(合成气)或焦炉气为原料生产乙醇，塞拉尼斯(Celanese)，郎泽(Lanza Tech)，英力士(Inoes)，中科院大连化物所，中溶科技等企业和机构取得了技术突破或商业化。与传统的粮食法燃料乙醇相比，煤(合成气)制乙醇具有明显的成本优势。有望成为现代煤化工发展示范的新方向。

　　Coal/Syngas to Ethanol Conference 2017—¬¬¬¬The New coal chemicals demonstration

　　Background

　　Ethanol is an important vehicle fuel and chemical feedstock. As a vehicle fuel, ethanol consumption in the United States is more than 40 million t/a; in Brazil is about 18 million t/a. In contrast, fuel ethanol in China has a huge potential market space. In 2016 China's fuel ethanol production was 2.6 Mt only. Ethanol import tariffs and ethanol gasoline promotion will incent the domestic demand for fuel ethanol. According to "Foreign Investment Industry Guidance Catalog" 2017 version, fuel ethanol production is open to foreign investment.

　　From coal (syngas) or coke oven gas to ethanol, Celanese, LanzaTech, Inoes, DICP, and Zhongrong etc. have got breakthrough or commercialization. Compared with the conventional grain ethanol, coal (syngas) based ethanol has a significant cost advantage. It is expected to become a new modern coal chemical industry demonstration.

　　What are the technology and application prospects? Coal (syngas) to ethanol can become a national policy as a new demonstration of modern coal chemical? Can coal (syngas) to ethanol be supported fuel ethanol industry planning?
